Where to look for Fossils at Crail?


(Look around this area - 2007

The large tree trunk in its life position can be found near to the start of the walk, a short distance past the end of the sandy beach and before the first large sandstone ledge.

The Arthropleura tracks are to be seen on the exposed bedding planes of the third sandstone ledge.

Stigmaria ficoides roots are fairly abundant and can be observed on the bedding planes of many of the Sandstone blocks and ledges
